Do you want the Red Sea, to be protected like it deserves? Do You feel more can be done? Would you like a non nonsense approach, of deeds rather than words? Here's my personal commitment to you and missions statement. Your support is greatly appreciated.

My missions and my commitment:

  • Protect the Red Sea, starting with OPREDSEA21. By empowering the coastal communities of The Sudan, to sustainably develop, and protect their marine resources; setting an example for the neighboring countries bordering the Red Sea. To that effect I vow to offer my consulting services free of charge to the Red Sea University in Port Sudan, Red Sea State officials, Ministries of Tourism, Education. The Sudan wildlife department, The Sudan Coast Guard, and any other relevant authority, governmental or non governmental organizations, and charities active in the Sudan.
  • Combat the negative effects, of globalization and the corporate takeover of the professional diving industry; by uniting quality oriented diving professionals; under the first International Association of Dive Professionals (IADP). Pushing for trade recognition, a new quality rating, professionalism, benefits and giving a voice to it's workforce.
  • Continue developing the GOBLU3 initiative, connecting ocean sustainability professionals around the world. Addressing the failings of the classic marine conservation efforts; and subsequently empowering professional divers worldwide through courses and example to do their share locally.

Where does your money go?

I have set myself a maximum, gross monthly salary of Euro 1700. (FYI: since Sept. and COVID, my monthly income=0,00 | February 2021 I now started fundraising)
This includes the various personal/professional insurances that come with a hazardous job like mine. It also includes the professional gear (that wears out quickly, under the harsh conditions I operate in). This professional gear, and insurances also ensure the safety for my dive team and myself, while working underwater and on land.

All excess funds received here, on this page are either disbursed to SUDIA.ORG (our official partner on the ground in Sudan) or the IADP - DIVE PROFESSIONALS to support their non profit work, and OPREDSEA21.

Why Donate? Will your funds be put to good use?

Are you like myself come to the conclusion, that traditional conservation efforts are failing? And that it is time to step up and evolve? Well there's your answer. I vouch to keep you updated of my non-conformist and on the ground approach. Your funds will be handled with transparency, and will enable me to finance a team, there and then; active on the ground with direct, and consistent results; of which we will obviously keep you abreast through our updates.
Full transparency (as much as our partners will allow me of course), and no nonsense results!

Instead of financially donating, I'd rather sponsor with products.

Are you a manufacturer, and would like to donate products, under a sponsorship agreement?

You are very welcome to
contact me directly, however please note:

We can only use the following materials, and gear within the scope of our projects.
Furthermore bear in mind: The environmental, weather, and Sea conditions we are working in are exposing equipment to:

1. Land temperatures exceeding 48 degrees Celsius -118,4 Fahrenheit (and that's in the shade)
2. A high saline marine environment, and working depths up to 70 Meters.
3. We are no tourists, there's no roads, all equipment has to be of rugged consistency, able to take a beating. (Military/Commercial grade quality)

Types of equipment we can use:

  • Communication equipment: Satellite Phones, Walkie Talkies, Short Wave Radios,...

  • Transportation Equipment: Any and all forms of transportation, however a preference will be given to green tech.

  • Marine and Diving Gear: Safety, rescue, localization beacons, dive watches, sun glasses (polarized), dive watches, dive Jackets, Regulators, lift bags of all sizes, and anything deemed to be useful for research, expeditions, and diving works.
